Next Generation Car Coming Sooner Than You Think

The cars of 2013 are already equipped with innovations they weren't even seen 15 years ago. Today's car have accident avoiding lasers and smart parking. In the near future, the average car will have wireless car to car communications and even city wide traffic control. Ray Wert, the former editor-in-chief of the Jalopnik car blog says, "It's clear the next few years will see greater expansion of in-car infotainment and navigation offerings, and technologies requiring communication between cars."

The next big innovation to make cars more safer is they will have the ability to be aware of their surroundings and can warn the drivers about the possibility of dangers around them. Shown in the picture above, the vehicles would communicate with each other and be able to travel around each other without being hit. A network system would be similar to an air traffic control system, experts predict.

Self driving cars are also high on the list for future car innovations, has Google continues to test out it's self driving car. By 2020, companies such as GM and Nissan will sell driver-less cars in the consumer market. Even in 2013, some cars have limited capabilities of driving on their own. Within a decade, analysts predict the next generation car will be driving in the streets around you.
