Smart Appliances and Energy from Trash?

-Appliances of the future will be a lot different compared to today.

Whirlpool's Warwick Stirling, senior director of sustainability and connectivity, says consumers will be able to control their appliances with their phones, even more than they have now. You will be able to control your appliance from other rooms or even from other parts of the country. Stirling says the consumer market for smart appliances will change dramatically in the next five years.  

-Trash to gas, a new way to create reusable energy?
Will changing trash from waste to energy a legitimate idea? Will several companies have look at the idea and might be moving closer to making trash actual energy. Waste is a big problem - so why not try to transform that into actual energy that anyone can use? It's a logical idea with several obstacles, but the company Sierra Energy is working on a solution. They have spent the last several years testing waste to energy system called FastOx Pathfiner. The first test for this product will be in the United States army, will the see if this product is actually effective. If it becomes successful, it is an important step for reusable "trash" energy. Other companies such as Ineos Bio are working on similar reusable trash energy projects.
