Moto X Unveiling and Apple Rumors

-Google's Moto X leaked pictures, unveiling coming August 1st.



Google's Motorola first ever smartphone is set to be shown off to the public in just a few weeks. The phone dosen't have any revolutionary innovations, but the improvements are going to be in the phone's software rather than the specs. The only particularly neat feature will be the "always on" voice assistance.  When can you expect for the Moto X to be on the consumer market?  August 26th  is the rumored date.

-A machine that can turn sweat into drinking water.
This machine extracts sweat from worn clothes by spinning and heating the clothing, then filters the sweat into pure water.  This purification technique is known as membrane distillation and used gor-like material to filter out bacteria and salts that are found in sweat. It was designed and built in Sweden, by an engineer named Andreas Hammar.

-The Apple rumors continue to heat up.
There are multiple rumors reported in this story, including Ad skipping and Gesture controlled Apple television. Earlier this week, a story was leaked that Apple is working on a service that would allow people to skip television ads all together. Apple would then pay the companies money to replace the ad revenue that the television stations need. Gesture controlled is now swirling in the rumors after Apple is thinking of purchasing an Israel Company that designs 3D sensors that are seen in products like Microsoft's Kinect. The speculation was then made that Apple could build a television that the consumer could control through hand motions.

The iWatch is now in development according to multiple reports, including a story that was linked on this blog a week or so ago. This report states that Apple already has a team developing the iWatch but don't expect it to be released anytime soon. The iWatch is still in the early stages of development and is not expected to be released until late 2014.

Slow-Motion video maybe possible in the next generation iPhone. It may be equipped with a camera that could record 120 frames per second. The current camera equipped in the iPhone can only record 30 frames per second. Also, Apples next iPhone maybe made with Liquidmetal.
The iPad mini is still a few months away, but rumors have it Apple is planning on adding a new Retina display and a new look.

-A device that helps find Melanoma.



A device that can help doctors develop Melanoma. Developed by Mela Sciences, it uses algorithms to determine if the particular spot needs a biopsy. Some experts say that this device isn't completely accurate and doctors should use their years of experience as a guide to determine if the spot is cancerous or not. Dr. Roberta Lucas, an instructor of clinical dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago says, “This technology should still be considered to be in the developmental stage."
